Krishna Janmashtami is a time of deep devotion and joyous celebration. Devotees observe the day by fasting from sunrise until midnight, the believed time of Krishna's birth. Celebrations include decorating homes, performing and participating in rituals, and re-enacting the divine stories of Krishna, known as Krishna Leela.
