Why Republic Day is Celebrated ?
Introduction
The colonial Government of India Act was repealed. The Constitution became supreme. The office of the Governor-General was replaced by the President of India, and the nation officially became a Sovereign, Democratic Republic. 26 January is celebrated as Republic Day in India. On this day in 1950, our Constitution came into force and India became a democratic republic.
What histroy of 26 January ?
The constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950, and on this same date in November 1949, a constituent assembly was convened. On November 26th, this date was chosen to signify complete self-rule, which had been declared in 1930. Dr. Ambedkar was instrumental in implementing the Constitution of India.

The six categories of fundamental rights in the Indian Constitution are:
- Right to Equality (Articles 14–18): Includes equality before the law and prohibits discrimination.

- Right to Freedom of Religion (Articles 25–28): Guarantees the freedom to practice and propagate religion.
- Cultural and Educational Rights (Articles 29–30): Protects minority interests in conserving language and establishing educational institutions.
- Right to Constitutional Remedies (Article 32): Allows citizens to approach the Supreme Court for enforcement of these rights
How to celebrate the festival in 26 January
On this day, flag hoisting parades and cultural programs are organized all over the country. Patriotic speeches are delivered in schools and colleges, and there is laughter and joy, and everyone walks along the road, chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai. Every household watches the parade on television, and the Prime Ministers and Presidents of various countries come to Delhi to witness the parade. The constitution was also implemented on this day, and the day is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.
