I am not an avid traveller, I would love to travel often but I don’t travel much, the last destination that I went to was Mohali Punjab for a 5-days wedding, although I only left the hotel for two days out of those 5 days, they were still magical. We were staying at the “Wyndham Hotel”. The first day we had bachelorette party so we booked a club and went there for a fun night with booze, food, dances, probs and clicked pictures. The next day was a ceremony called “Sagan” and for that we went to Ludhiana, there in a very beautiful setting the ceremony took place and soon after the ceremony there was lunch and then after lunch we all went back to our hotel.

The next day was a free day so me and my cousins decided to go sight-seeing so we went to Chandigarh for the day and visited Elante Mall, rock garden, sukhna lake and then as the sun started setting, we went back to our hotel. The next couple of days were very hectic because there was “Mehndi (Hena) ceremony”, “Haldi (turmeric) ceremony” and of course the weeding day. On the wedding night, after 1 am, there was heavy fog surrounding the “fera ceremony” and since it was winters, it gave everybody chills. The wedding was beautiful, the days we spent there were equally tiring and exciting but all that fun had to end so the next day on our way back to New Delhi we stopped several times for food, tea and small drive breaks.

If there is something beautiful about this whole trip to my cousin’s wedding, it was that the drive from New Delhi to Mohali and the way back, the whole family went together in separate cars. So when they said “enjoying the journey is more important than waiting for the destination” my family took that very seriously.
