The Great Treat Heist — ft. Chiku the Snack Thief
You know how every Indian household has that one family member who just cannot resist food? In our house, that’s not a person — it’s our dog, Chiku.
Chiku has the heart of a saint and the appetite of a full-time foodie. One lazy Sunday morning, while we were busy making chai and poha, he decided that waiting for treats was clearly beneath him.
The crime scene? Our kitchen counter. The motive? A shiny packet of Pedigree biscuits. The suspect? Standing there wagging his tail like he’s auditioning for a Parle-G ad.
At first, everything was suspiciously quiet — and if you’re a pet parent, you know that silence means trouble. I peeked into the kitchen, and there he was: our four-legged mastermind, balancing on a dining chair, stretching his paws toward the counter like a professional thief.
One tiny nudge… and CRASH! Biscuits everywhere. Chiku froze mid-bite, eyes wide, tail wagging like,
“Arre, you saw that? I was just… cleaning, okay?”

I tried to look serious, but honestly — how do you scold that face?
Since then, Chiku has earned himself a new title: “The Great Treat Heist Champion of the House.” He might be naughty, but every time those biscuit crumbs stick to his nose, we end up laughing till our stomachs hurt.
Moral of the story? Never underestimate a desi dog on a snack mission — especially one with big brown eyes and a heart full of mischief. 🐾
