THINKING IS DIFFICULT THAT'S WHY MOST PEOPLE JUDGE
I remember an ordinary day that didn’t feel ordinary at all.
I was sitting in college, talking comfortably with someone I trusted. Nothing unusual. Nothing hidden. Just a normal conversation that felt safe, familiar, and simple.
But later, I realized how easily people had turned that moment into a story that wasn’t true. Without knowing what we were to each other, without understanding the context, without asking even a single question, people started assuming things.
They didn’t try to understand. They didn’t pause. They judged.
That’s when it hit me thinking is difficult. Judging is easy.
People don’t look at intentions they look at appearances. They see one moment and decide the whole character. A harmless connection becomes something “wrong” Comfort becomes suspicion. Normal becomes questionable.
What hurt more wasn’t the judgment itself.
It was how confidently it was shared with others in conversations I wasn’t part of sometimes by people who knew me.
People who should have trusted me choose assumptions instead of understanding. For a moment, I wanted to explain myself. clear things up. To say, this is not what you think . But I stopped.
Because I knew explaining would only create more stories, more meanings, more judgment.
So, I stayed quiet.
My silence wasn’t agreement. It wasn’t weakness. It was self-protection.
Later, when I was alone, the words came back. They replayed in my mind. I overthought them. I questioned myself.
I wondered why being quiet, being different, or simply being myself feels like an invitation for judgment.
Society says it understands, but often it only watches. It talks more than it listens. It judges more than it thinks.
If people thought before judging, many lives would feel lighter. Many people wouldn’t feel the need to shrink themselves just to feel safe. But thinking requires effort. And not everyone is willing to make that effort.
So, they judge. And some of us learn to live quietly not because we have something to hide, but because our truth doesn’t need permission.
People will always judge, but only you can choose how to live.
THINKING IS DIFFICULT THAT'S WHY MOST PEOPLE JUDGE !!
