Annually on march 8th,International Women's Day , women are worshipped and celebrated globally. Women are greeted with mementos on this special day from their families and their colleagues and they are also felicitated at their workplace . There are tonnes of appreciation posts on social media regarding their sacrifices and other aspects. Similar to a social media story that exists for 24 hours and later disappears , the love and blessings are showered for that particular day . But  for the next 365 days , there are multiple headline about women being tortured in different ways . Domestic violence is one of the horrible deeds that is committed either in public or secretively at their homes . If it is stated that men are mostly responsible for abuse of  women , it is biased . Women are also equally responsible for torturing women . The primary justification for harassing women is demeaning or undervaluing them , viewing them as naïve and ignorant along with lacking the audacity to raise voice against injustice due to their forced circumstances . India , a nation rich in culture , celebrates Navaratri - The Festival of Nine nights and over these 9 days , " Devi Maa " is venerated wholeheartedly . There are total 9 incarnations of devi maa referred to as  "Navadurga " and each day of navaratri is dedicated to one of the forms of navdurga . Each of these navadurgas energies are said to be triggered by representing the seven  physical chakras according to scripts and puranas. Although women are considered to be subtle and retrogressive , they are capable of changing themselves or for their loved ones . As maa Shailaputri (1st form of Navadurga) gave her life for the sake of her husband in her previous birth , a women can go to any extent to sacrifice or battle for their loved ones . In order to better herself , a woman can adopt the form of Brahmacharini ( 2nd incarnation of Navadurga ) and focus on her own advancement, viewing herself as self existent . A women will become fierce and turn into a warrior by destroying her enemies in forms of Chandraghanta ( 3rd form), Katyayani ( 6th form ) and Kaalaratri (7th form ) who are known for their bravery , warrior  attitude and fierceness respectively if her patience is tested and reaches a point where she cannot take any sort of harassment. When a women enters such a state of awakening , all the adversaries are destroyed and forgiveness is not provided at any cost . The energy of a women is equal to that of Kushmanda devi ( 4th form of Navadurga ) . A woman cannot always be considered as a provider or rewarder as Skandmata ( 5th form ) , Mahagauri ( 8th form ) and Siddhidatri ( 9th form ).The 10th day of Navaratri known as Vijayadashami or Dusshera is observed after 9 days . Dusshera is celebrated  as Lord Rama emerged victorious against demon Ravana . In addition , Dusshera is observed in honour of women's emancipation i.e. Maa Durga destroyed demon Mahishasura after battling with him for several days .This represents that Women undergoes various battles in life and she conquers the challenges in life by using all her superpowers . Vijayadashami is celebrated by felicitating the women . In eastern parts of the India ( Kolkata, Bihar, Assam ) , Durga puja is celebrated along with "Sindoor Khela "whereas in  Andra pradesh and Telangana , Bathukulama and in state like Goa , Parvati is celebrated in the form of "Nari Shakti" . There is a saying that there are always a two sides of a coin and the same example is considered referring to a human being . But in case of a woman , she has a capability to remould herself into various  forms according to her requirement and  these forms act as a  "Kavach" (protection) and provides the strength to fight against all odds in her life.   Women are represented or considered as devis and devis do have the ability to take up forms ranging from  being subtle  and generous to her devotees and being  fierce to the demons . One particular occasion is not sufficient to celebrate the  femineity whereas women should be treated  gracefully with respect and gratefulness.
