Students Don't Let Your Future Become Someone Else's Politics
When this movement began, millions of Indians stood with you.
Parents stood with you.Teachers stood with you.Working professionals stood with you.Even people who had no connection with the examination system supported your demand because everyone believed one thing:
Students deserve justice.
This was never about politics.It was about your future.
But today, I want to ask every student one simple question:
Is this still a student movement?
The Movement Has Changed
The original demands were straightforward:
- A fair and transparent investigation.
- Accountability for those responsible.
- Reforms to prevent future paper leaks.
- Justice for affected students.
These were legitimate demands.
However, over the past few days, the movement has increasingly become associated with political speeches, celebrity appearances, abusive slogans, religious controversies, and demands that go far beyond student issues.
When leaders begin demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister instead of focusing only on education reforms, the movement naturally starts looking political rather than educational.
Whether someone supports or opposes the government is a personal political choice. But that was never why students came onto the streets.
Remember Why You Started
You did not spend years preparing for examinations to become a political activist.
You came because you wanted justice.
Every hour spent preparing for an exam represented sacrifices made by your family.
Your parents worked hard.Many took loans.Many postponed dreams.Many believed that education would change your future.
Do not let those sacrifices become part of someone else's political campaign.
Politics Has No Permanent Friends
Political parties support movements when it benefits them.
Political organizations support movements that match their agendas.
Celebrities speak, trend on social media, and move on.
Activists will move to the next protest.
But when everything ends, they will return to their lives.
You will return to your examination hall.
You will return to your career.
You will return to your family.
No political leader will appear for your examination.
No activist will build your career.
No celebrity will compensate you for the years you lose.
Reject Hatred
A student movement should inspire hope, not hatred.
There should be no place for:
- Abusive language against any political leader.
- Abuse directed at any religion or religious belief.
- Violence against police, journalists, or ordinary citizens.
- Vandalism or destruction of public property.
- Slogans unrelated to the original cause.
The moment abuse replaces arguments, the movement starts losing public support.
A movement earns respect through discipline—not through anger.
Keep Your Leadership Independent
Support can come from anyone.
But control should remain with students.
If political parties, activists, or organizations begin deciding your slogans, your demands, or your direction, ask yourself:
Whose movement is this now?
Your strength lies in your credibility.
Do not allow anyone to hijack your cause.
My Appeal to Every Student
If your fight is for education, then keep it about education.
If your fight is for transparency, then demand transparency.
If your fight is for justice, then demand justice.
Do not allow your movement to become a battlefield for larger political conflicts.
History respects movements that remain focused.
History also remembers movements that lost their purpose because they allowed others to define their agenda.
Protect your future.
Protect your family's dreams.
Protect the credibility of your movement.
If this is truly a student movement, then let students lead it—and let its demands remain about students.
Because your career is worth far more than anyone else's politics.
