A Book that Spoke to a Teenager
When I was a teenager, I was quite a shy person, living in my own world, good in studies, popular among my friends. π
One day, I went to a bookstore and saw this book called βHarry Potterβ in grand display as it was recently launched. I was not at all keen to read it, because the cover page showed it was a kind of Sci-fi novel which I was not interested in. π€
In school, this book was getting popular and was in active circulation and somehow after 6β7 months of its lauch it landed on my hands.π
As I have already mentioned, I was not interested in this book but because I was a voracious reader, I just wanted to try it before rejecting.π
And voilaβ¦.what have I discovered can't be expressed through words. π€©
The world of Harry Potter transformed me into a place where there was everything. A great interesting story, characters that were very real life( not like our Hindi cinemas where the characters are superheroes) many twists and surprises and of course the key ingredient- βmagicβ. ππ€©
This books were launched in 7 parts and every time, I was one of the first readers who would stand in a queue outside the bookstore for hours to buy them.ππ€
Now, as I have touched my mid-thirties I still enjoy reading Harry Potter books and nowadays, I even try to impress my nine-year old daughter to βjust give this book a tryβ kind of advice. πβΊοΈ
I would like to recommend this book to those who enjoy convincing characters (which developed throughout the series), emotional angle (the mental status of main characters were quite realistic) twists and tangible plot.π
Lastly, the most important part- this book has a marvelous usage of English language. This series plays a massive role in enhancing my vocabulary. Those who see books as a bundle of knowledge and entertainment, must read it at least once in their lives. ππ
