Coconut water contains vitamins B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B1 (thiamine), pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, potassium and sodium. It also contains carbohydrates and amino acids.

Have you ever wondered how the coconut water that we drink goes inside the coconut? Most people may not know about this, let us try to find the answer to that question in this report.

Coconut is the only fruit in the world that has water inside it. You may not know but the water inside the coconut, which we drink, is the endosperm part of the coconut. This part later becomes dry coconut.

The endosperm or embryo sac provides nutrients to the developing embryo. The tree draws water from the roots through its cells and transports it to the fruit. When the endosperm dissolves in this water, it thickens. The water absorbed by the plant's roots is transported through the cells to form this watery part of the seed.

When the coconut ripens, this water starts drying up. First it forms in the form of white pulp and later on, when the fruit ripens, it forms dry coconut. It is edible in both the ways.
