Valuable Lessons F.R.I.E.N.D.S Teaches Us About Life (Part-2)

The show, called F.R.I.E.N.D.S. as we have already read is not just a show, but a way to live life. People who watch this show must know that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is something adored for the variety of emotions it makes them go through. Apart from that, just watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and learning something by watching it are two different things.

If you have learned what F.R.I.E.N.D.S. teaches us in a humorous way, then you are going to live a great life ahead. The lessons and messages F.R.I.E.N.D.S. conveys are indirectly needed to live a peaceful and mentally healthy life.

Now, I hope that you have read the first part of this blog where I talked about the lessons F.R.I.E.N.D.S. teaches us about love, moving on, and forgiving quickly. Therefore, it’s time to move towards the rest of the lessons that could be learned from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Lesson Number- 4

Personal Space

Now, we all have seen that when Monica was dating Richard, she wouldn’t bother having him all the time. She gave him his space and whenever they had time, they would spend time together. Ross, when did not give Rachel her space, ended up losing her. Chandler would not stop Monica from meeting her friends. They all would allow their partners to have some personal space and that is the reason that they were happy with each other and would not get bored of one another.

This makes us learn that if you understand that your partner is an individual and has a life of his/her own outside the sphere of the relationship, you will not lose the person you love. Not only partners but understanding the importance of personal space in any relationship goes a long way and keeps the spark of affection and love alive. You cannot force one person to fulfill all your emotional needs. You must make your heart habitual of providing a positive personal space in your relationships so that you can continue to have healthy relationships with people you love.

Lesson Number- 5

Embrace Yourself

Monica is crazy about cleaning, Ross likes to be intellectual, Chandler would make people laugh, Rachel is a fashionista, Phoebe is a little crazy and Joey likes to flirt. All these traits are there from the beginning of the show till the end of it. None of them change even if they attract criticism because of their qualities.

This tells us that we should never change what we think we are. Our positive traits need not be changed even if they bring some negative outcomes in our lives, on the other hand, our negative traits call for a change even if they sometimes bring positive outcomes in life. This is because, in the long run, only our virtues are going to help us. So, whatever you have and whatever you do positively, try to keep it alive in your life always. This point is to encourage you to be yourself, love yourself, and embrace yourself.

Lesson Number- 6

Never Give Up

What would have happened if Rachel had never quit being a waitress, what would have happened if Joey had gone back to his hometown because he struggled to become an actor, what would have happened if Ross hadn’t tried harder to go ahead in his career, what would happen if Monica has quit cooking because her mother disapproves of her food? They all wouldn’t achieve the highest level of positions in their professional life. Not only professionally they all wouldn’t give up, but they would also try their best in everything before failing completely.

Giving up on life should never be a choice. No matter how painful the journey is, if you continue it with dedication, you are going to reach your destination one day. Sometimes, we don’t know what God has planned for us in life and we fail to trace his signs and give up. This makes us lose the greatest opportunities of our lives. One should never give up unless he/she has tried every possible way to move toward his/her desired goal in life.

Apparently, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is more than what people think it is. I personally consider F.R.I.E.N.D.S. to be the greatest source of valuable lessons about life. Hence, I hope that I have painted a clear picture of the hidden gems of F.R.I.E.N.D.S., and the next time you watch the show, you yourself will be able to point out the lessons I have mentioned in my blogs.
